The present invention relates to space food comprising a chicory extract as an active ingredient for preventing or alleviating myoatrophy caused by microgravity. According to the present invention, the chicory extract inhibits apoptosis of muscle cells or tissues in unused muscles or in a no-load state in which a space state is assumed, and thus, the chicory extract offers the anti-myoatrophy effect.
