The present invention is directed to novel polypeptides designated herein asEG-VEGF and to nucleic acid molecules encoding those polypeptides. Alsoprovided herein are vectors and host cells comprising those nucleic acidsequences, chimeric polypeptide molecules comprising the polypeptides of thepresent invention fused to heterologous polypeptide sequences, antibodieswhich bind to the polypeptides of the present invention and to methods forproducing the polypeptides of the present invention. Also provided herein aremethods of screening for modulators of EG-VEGF. Furthermore, methods andrelated methods of treatment are described herein which pertain to regulatingcellular proliferation and chemotaxis.
