PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a patient to call a medical worker without hesitation.SOLUTION: An identification information transmitter 6 transmitting identification information to a reading unit 7 installed in each ward and a portable terminal 10 for notifying a call from a nurse call slave machine 1 and responding to it are carried along by a medical worker. It is determined by a control unit 21 that the medical worker is near the ward where the reading unit 7 is installed when the reading unit 7 reads identification information from the identification information transmitter 6, and approach of the medical worker is notified by a display light 5 installed in the nurse call slave machine 1. Thus, since it is notified by display light 5 that the medical worker has approached the ward, a patient looking at this can call the medical worker approaching the word by operating a call operation part 3. Therefore, as a moving distance of the medical worker becomes short, load on the medical worker is reduced, and the patient can call without being reserved toward the medical worker.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
