PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication device which can acquire highly accurate finger and palm print information and vein information and also easily determine whether the acquired biological information is acquired from an object other than a living body.SOLUTION: A biometric authentication device which performs personal authentication by using finger/palm print information and vein information, comprises: a finger/palm print information acquisition unit which acquires finger/palm print information from a predetermined part of a person a vein information acquisition unit which acquires vein information from the predetermined part of the person a detection sensor which outputs a signal according to a level of pressing force applied to the sensor by the predetermined part of the person a control unit which determines whether the predetermined part is in a suitable state for acquiring proper finger/palm print information and vein information according to the signal output from the detection sensor, and controls the finger/palm print information acquisition unit and the vein information acquisition unit to acquire finger/palm print information and vein information according to the determination result and a personal authentication unit which performs personal authentication by using the acquired finger/palm print information and vein information.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、生体認証装置において、取得する指掌紋情報および静脈情報の精度の向上を図ることを目的とする。また、生体情報として取得された情報が生体以外の物から取得された情報であるか否かを容易に判定することを目的とする。【解決手段】指掌紋情報と、静脈情報とを用いて、本人認証をおこなう生体認証装置は、人の所定部位から指掌紋情報を取得する指掌紋情報取得部と、人の所定部位から静脈情報を取得する静脈情報取得部と、人の所定部位と接触し、所定部位による押圧の程度に応じた信号を出力する検出センサと、検出センサからの信号に応じて、所定部位の状態が指掌紋情報および静脈情報を取得すべき状態であるか否かを判定し、判定結果に応じて、指掌紋情報および静脈情報を取得するように指掌紋情報取得部および静脈情報取得部を制御する制御部と、指掌紋情報および静脈情報を用いて、本人認証をおこなう本人認証部と、を備える。【選択図】図3
