PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiviral composition exhibiting excellent antiviral properties in a bright place and a dark place, an antiviral agent, a photocatalyst, a method for preparing the antiviral composition, and a method for inactivating viruses.SOLUTION: The antiviral composition contains BiVOand a bivalent copper compound. Each of the antiviral agent and the photocatalyst contains the antiviral composition. The method for preparing the antiviral composition comprises: a mixing step of mixing BiVOwith the bivalent copper compound or BiVO, a raw material of the bivalent copper compound, water and an alkaline substance to prepare a mixture； and a separation step of separating the antiviral composition from the mixture. The method for inactivating viruses comprises a step of using the antiviral composition, the antiviral agent or the photocatalyst to inactivate the viruses.【課題】明所および暗所において優れた抗ウイルス性を発現する、抗ウイルス性組成物、抗ウイルス剤および光触媒、その抗ウイルス性組成物の製造方法、ならびにウイルス不活性化方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の抗ウイルス性組成物はＢｉＶＯ4および２価銅化合物を含有する。本発明の抗ウイルス剤および光触媒は本発明の抗ウイルス性組成物を含む。本発明の抗ウイルス性組成物の製造方法は、ＢｉＶＯ4と２価銅化合物または２価銅化合物原料と水とアルカリ性物質とを混合して混合物を作製する混合工程、および混合物から抗ウイルス性組成物を分離する分離工程を含む。本発明のウイルス不活性化方法は本発明の抗ウイルス性組成物、本発明の抗ウイルス剤または本発明の光触媒を用いてウイルスを不活化する。【選択図】なし
