PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of a Wasabi component, for promoting the elevation of body temperature of a living body and enabling the metabolism of the living body to be improved by ingesting the Wasabi component as a food and drink or a medicine.SOLUTION: The composition of the Wasabi component is obtained by using a rhizome or a leaf of Wasabia japonica or Armoracia rusticana, or an extract thereof as the Wasabi component. The component contains isothiocyanates, polyphenols, tannins, indoles, organic acids, chlorophyl or the like, and exhibits activities for promoting the elevation of the body temperature.
