Proposed is a universal orthopedic article which is intended for the prophylaxis and treatment of flat-footedness at any age, and particularly in children and adolescents with locomotor system disorders, said orthopedic article being in the form of a short stocking (hereinafter "orthosock"), the main elements of which are an orthopedic sole configured in the form of a foot corrector and consisting of several layers: an outer layer in contact with the floor surface, a filler, a fastening layer which serves as a liner and allows the filler to be fastened in the sole, and an inner layer which covers the fastening layer, is in contact with the foot and acts as an insole. The orthopedic sole is attached to a "body" of the orthosock. The "body" of the orthosock is made, for example, of a textile material and consists of a leg, a toe region, and a heel part. In the top part of the leg there is a cuff which fastens securely around the calf. The filler is laid and secured between the outer layer and the fastening layer, which are stitched together, wherein said filler is made of rubber, silicone, plastic or another polymer in the form of resilient circular elements of different diameters from 6 to 15 mm and a hardness of from 8 to 40 Shore, which are selected individually according to the size of the orthosock and the weight of the child. All of the elements which are in direct contact with the child's foot are made of a cotton material, ensuring that the article is hypoallergenic and comfortable to wear. The proposed invention relates to the field of medicine, and more particularly to orthopedics, and can be used for the treatment and prophylaxis of different types of flat-footedness in children and adolescents.
