An ECG lead system (100) is provided for use with a plurality of unique diverse ECG floor monitors (10) and an ECG telemetry monitor (20). The ECG lead system includes an ECG lead extension assembly (400) configured to interconnect an ECG lead set assembly (300) to any one of a plurality of unique adapters (200x), each adapter including an input receptacle configured for selective electrical connection with a device connector (310) of the ECG lead set assembly, and a unique monitor plug configured to selectively connect to a corresponding receptacle of a respective unique ECG floor monitor. The ECG lead system further comprises an ECG telemetry adapter (500) configured to interconnect the ECG lead set assembly to the ECG telemetry monitor. The ECG telemetry adapter includes an adapter body (510), at least one input receptable (520) on one side of the adapter body and a telemetry plug (530) on another side of the adapter body.
