The present invention provides, in one embodiment, a composition for removing odors. The composition includes, in one embodiment, a salt having at least one of a halogen and an alkaline in an effective amount sufficient to remove odors from the materials when applied thereto. The salt, in an embodiment, may include one of chloride, sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, or a combination thereof.
