PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new means for rapidly and stably controlling the expression of soybean endogenous genes that separately function at fructification and germination, which are important in breeding and stable production of soybean.
SOLUTION: The expression of the endogenous gene at the fructification and/or germination is lowered by inoculating a recombinant ALSV including a soybean endogenous gene sequence into a soybean seed leaf, creating a soybean that is systemically infected with the recombinant ALSV, growing it to fructify and then growing the seeds of this recombinant ALSV-infected soybean.
