PURPOSE: Blood pressure measurement method and blood pressure measurement instrument according to the same are provided to prevent accident due to sudden variation of blood pressure by conveniently measuring blood pressure of a user at all times.CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor unit (100) detects blood pressure of a blood vessel transferred to a skin and outputs an electrical signal corresponding to the blood pressure. A signal branch unit (200) branches an electrical signal in which direct current (DC) signal and alternating current (AC) signal are overlapped into a DC signal and an AC signal. A signal processing unit (300) amplifies the branched signal, converting into digital and outputs the signal. A blood pressure calculation unit (400) calculates an applied pressure value by subtracting the atmospheric pressure from a pressure value corresponding to the digitalized DC signal.
