A cardiac device comprises a first anchoring element having an at least partially hollow interior and a second anchoring element configured to penetrate a proximal side of a first tissue wall. The second anchoring element comprises a head having a pointed tip and a substantially flat base and an elongate body. The second anchoring element is configured to rotate to a perpendicular orientation with respect to the first anchoring element after the second anchoring element exits a distal side of the first tissue wall.
