Provided is a bicell structure composition capable of being prepared safely and easily without using an organic solvent, having an excellent feeling (sense of penetration, moisturization and tension) when used as an external agent for skin as well as superior storage stability. The bicell structure-containing composition is characterized by containing the following components (a)-(e): (a) a phospholipid； (b) 0.02-1 mass % of cholesterol and/or phytosterol； (c) at least one surfactant selected from polyoxyethylene cholesteryl ether and/or polyoxyethylene phytosteryl ether, in which the mean number of added moles of an ethylene oxide is 10-20； (d) at least one dihydric alcohol selected from propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, and 1,3-butylene glycol； and (e) water, wherein the content mass ratio (a) / (c) of the component (a) and the component (c) is 0.4-2.0, and the content mass ratio { (a) + (c) } / (b) of the sum of the component (a) and the component (c) with respect to the component (b) is 5.0 or more.本發明提供一種雙層膜微胞(bicelles)構造體組成物，其係不使用有機溶媒而能安全且簡便地調製，並且作為皮膚外用劑的使用感(滲透感、保濕感、緊緻感)優異，同時保存穩定性亦優異。本發明提供一種含有雙層膜微胞構造體之組成物，其特徵為含有以下成分(a)~(e)：(a)磷脂質；(b)膽甾醇及/或植固醇0.02~1質量%；(c)選自環氧乙烷的平均加成莫耳數為10~20之聚氧乙烯膽甾基醚及/或聚氧乙烯植固基醚(polyoxyethylene phytosteryl ether)中之至少一種的界面活性劑；(d)選自丙二醇、二丙二醇、1,3-丁二醇中之至少一種的二元醇；(e)水；前述成分(a)與成分(c)的含有質量比(a)/(c)為0.4~2.0，成分(a)及成分(c)的總計相對於成分(b)的含有質量比{(a)+(c)}/(b)為5.0以上。
