The peelable sheath system 10 may include an elongated tubular sleeve (e.g., a sheath) 12 and a sleeve separation or removing device 14. The peelable sheath systems may also include a hub 16. The elongated tubular sleeve and the sleeve separation or removing device may be positioned about an elongated member 18 of a medical device. Initially, the sleeve separation or removing device may be positioned on the elongated member of the medical device at a location at least partially proximal the elongated tubular sleeve.
