The prosthesis comprises two components, Fossa and Condyle/Ramus, each of which is screwed into place. The Fossa component has two opposed flanges defining therebetween a cavity within which in use a portion (Polished Condylar Head) of the Condyle/Ramus component articulates. The Condyle/Ramus component is substantially planar and elongate with first and second opposed ends Polished Condylar Head and Inferior Border. Between the ends of the Condyle/Ramus component is a broad region with an aperture. Between the aperture and the Polished Condylar Head is a Condylar Neck portion. The Polished Condylar Head is angled with respect to the Condylar Neck portion and of greater thickness than the planar portion of the Condyle/Ramus component.TMJ PROSTHESIS SKULL FOSSA PROSTHESIS ZYGOMA MAXILLA CONDYLE /RAMUS PROSTHESIS MANDIBLE Fig. 1
