A touch activation device effecting UV disinfection includes a body having a base substrate and a clear cover casing over the base substrate and combined there with to form a holding capacity, and a UV light-emitting diode disposed in the body and within the holding capacity. The clear cover casing has a touch area. The body, for example, is a push button, grip handle, cushion, switch or a knob. The user activates the touch activation device by touching the touch area of the clear cover casing.
