A conveyor-belt filter device (11, Fig 1) for mechanically rinsing a solids polluted fluid preferably flowing in a channel and using an endless filter belt (14) having a filter bottom and including connected, pivotable filter elements. The filter belt can be conveyed over an upper (16) and lower deflection area of a framework (12, Fig 1) by means of a driving means connected to the filter elements and arranged along a conveyor track formed on the framework. The filter belt has at least one transport pouch (32) with an opening formed at a side and arranged between adjacent filter elements. The transport pouch projects above a filter plane (54). A collecting device (39) is provided in a transfer area adjacent to the upper deflection area (16) and is arranged at a distance to the filter belt (14) so as to convey the transport pouch (32) through a through opening (41). The through opening (41) is provided with a controllable covering device (40) for covering the through opening (41) and for temporarily opening the through opening (41) while the transport pouch (32) passes through. The conveyor-belt filter device enables the removal of fish from an influx area of the device.
