PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component of a fishing reel capable of improving specific strength and specific rigidity even if a load is applied not only in a bending direction but also in shearing, longitudinal and twisting directions and the like.SOLUTION: A component of a fishing reel is molded of fiber reinforced resin in which short fibers, each having a circular cross section, an average fiber diameter of 4-7 μm and an average fiber length of 1.5-4.0 mm, are immersed in matrix resin in a range of 30-60 mass%. In a cross sectional view in a right angle direction relative to the longitudinal direction, a first layer 10 with a large proportion of short fibers having an approximately circular shape with a short-long axial length ratio of 1:1-1:1.155 is formed on a surface layer side, and a second layer 11 which includes a large amount of short fibers oriented randomly compared to the short fibers of the first layer 10 is formed on the inner layer side of the first layer.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】曲げ負荷方向のみならず、せん断方向の負荷、長手方向の負荷、捩じり負荷などが作用しても、比強度、比剛性の向上が図れる魚釣用リールの構成部材を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の魚釣用リールの構成部材は、断面が円形状で平均繊維径が4μm~7μm、平均繊維長さが1.5mm~4.0mmの短繊維を30~60質量%の範囲でマトリクス樹脂に含浸した繊維強化樹脂によって成形されている。そして、前記長手方向に対して直角方向を断面視した状態で、表層側に、短長軸長比1:1~1:1.155となる略円形状となる短繊維の比率が多い第1の層10を形成し、かつ、その内層側に、第1の層10の短繊維と比較してランダムに指向した短繊維を多く含む第2の層11を形成したことを特徴とする。【選択図】図4
