PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel Pythium nunn bacterium which has an antagonistic activity on pathogenic bacteria belonging to the genus Pythium such as Pythium ultimum.SOLUTION: The Pythium nunn bacterium has a specific base sequence in an ITS region that contains 5.8S of rDNA. The Pythium nunn bacterium has an antagonistic activity on pathogenic bacteria belonging to the genus Pythium such as Pythium ultimum.
