PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile X-ray apparatus and a method of X-ray radiography which allow the X-ray radiography to be conducted by an adequate tube current without being affected by waste heat of a filament with the preliminary heating stopped and supplemented with flash heating.SOLUTION: The X-ray apparatus has: a control part 6 a filament current supply circuit 52 controlled by the control part 6 and an X-ray tube 3. In the X-ray apparatus, the filament current supply is kept stopped except when the X-ray tube 3 is emitting X rays. A filament current larger than that during the time of X-ray irradiation is supplied to perform a flash heating just before X-ray irradiation.
