PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human antibody to Fel d1 and a method for using the same.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there are provided an antibody that binds to the cat allergen, Fel d1, a composition comprising the antibody, a nucleic acid encoding the antibody, and a method for using the antibody. Here, the antibody is a fully human antibody that binds to Fel d1. The antibody of the invention is useful for binding to the Fel d1 allergen in vivo, thus preventing binding of the Fel d1 allergen to pre-formed IgE on the surface of mast cells or basophils. In doing so, the antibody acts to prevent the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators from a mast cell and/or basophil, thus ameliorating the untoward response to the cat allergen in a sensitized individual.
