PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assisting bar for a bed which is provided with a rotational handrail part and can be easily and firmly attached to a side fence of a bed.SOLUTION: An assisting bar for a bed is attached to horizontal parts 15, 16 in upper and lower parts of a side fence via attaching members 6 of horizontal parts 32, 33 provided in upper and lower parts of a fixing portion 3 of the assisting bar 2. A pair of bearing parts 34, 35 are provided in upper and lower parts of a vertical part 31 of the fixing portion, and a rotational shaft 41 of a rotational portion 4 is pivotally supported by the bearing parts. An upper horizontal part of a rotational handrail part 42 of the assisting bar is connected to an upper part of the rotational shaft, and a handrail support part of the assisting bar is connected to a lower part thereof. An adjuster 5 is provided on a bottom part of the lower bearing part.
