PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve closer contact of a plane part with a wearer by improving the shape stability of the plane part and improve a wearing property by improving the flexibility of the plane part in a pair of sidewall parts of an absorbent article.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes erection parts 342 where a pair of sidewall parts 34 provided on both sides of a body part 2 are erected from positions on the body part 2 separated inward from the side edges of the body part 2, and the plane part 343 spreading outward in the width direction from the upper ends of the erection parts 342 and closely fitted to the wearers skin. The absorbent article 1 is provided with a belt-like elastic member 32 at the plane part 343 so as to improve the shape stability of the plane part 343 and achieve closer contact of the plane part 343 with the wearer. An intermediate part between both ends of the elastic member 32 is non-joined with the plane part 343 so as to improve the flexibility of the plane part 343 and improve the wearing property of the absorbent article 1.
