The present invention relates to an antidiabetic activity composition comprising an Abeliophyllum distichum ethanol extract as an active ingredient, and more specifically, to an antidiabetic activity pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food having an excellent amylolytic enzyme inhibitory activity comprising the Abeliophyllum distichum ethanol extract. According to the present invention, the Abeliophyllum distichum ethanol extract as the active ingredient of the pharmaceutical composition and the health functional food exhibits an antidiabetic activity due to the excellent amylolytic enzyme inhibitory activity, thereby being used as a medicine and a health functional food for preventing or treating/alleviating diabetes. Further, the Abeliophyllum distichum ethanol extract can be very useful in pharmaceutical and food industries by having excellent thermal stability and not exhibiting a loss in amylolytic enzyme inhibitory activity even in an acidic condition of pH 2 and in blood plasma such that the Abeliophyllum distichum ethanol extract can be easily processed in various forms such as liquid, cream, powder, pill, tablet, and the like.본 발명은 미선나무(Abeliophyllum distichum) 에탄올 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항당뇨 활성의 조성물로서, 보다 상세하게는, 미선나무 에탄올 추출물을 포함하는 전분분해효소 저해활성이 우수한 항당뇨 활성의 의약 및 기능성 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 약학적 조성물 및 건강 기능 식품의 유효성분으로서의 미선나무 에탄올 추출물은 우수한 전분분해효소 저해활성에 의한 항당뇨 활성을 나타내어, 당뇨병의 예방 또는 치료/개선용 의약품 및 건강 기능 식품으로 사용할 수 있는 뛰어난 효과가 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 본 발명의 미선나무 에탄올 추출물은 열 안정성이 우수하고, pH 2의 산성 조건 및 혈장 내에서도 전분분해효소 저해활성의 손실이 나타나지 않아, 액상, 크림, 분말, 환, 정 등의 다양한 형태로 손쉽게 가공될 수 있어 제약 산업 및 식품 산업상 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
