PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fertilizer applicator of a riding rice transplanter comprising an inexpensive and simple metering mechanism which is integrally mounted in the fertilizer applicator, and readily mounting and demounting the fertilizer applicator having the metering mechanism mounted in a traveling part of the riding rice transplanter.SOLUTION: The riding rice transplanter includes the fertilizer applicator 40 disposed at the rear of a machine body. The fertilizer applicator 40 is provided with: a fertilizer hopper 42 for housing a fertilizer a delivering part 43 disposed under the fertilizer hopper 42, and for delivering the fertilizer by a prescribed amount a fertilizing and transporting part for guiding the fertilizer delivered from the delivering part 43 to the vicinity of a fertilizing part and an air blasting part 45 for sending a carrier wind to the fertilizing and transporting part. In the riding rice transplanter, power is transmitted from a PTO (power take-off) output shaft of a traveling transmission case of the riding rice transplanter through a power transmission mechanism to the delivering part, and a friction disk type transmission is installed in the course of the transmission route of the power transmission mechanism.
