The invention relates to a grafting method for preventing melon grafted seedlings from generating adventitious roots. A melon with good resistance is used as a rootstock. During the period that the rootstock sprouts and grows an upright hypocotyl until the third original leaf spreads out completely, the hypocotyl of the rootstock is clamped by a clamping piece to form a tight medullary cavity of the hypocotyl of the rootstock. Then the rootstock is cut to form a notch along the longitudinal direction. A bud with bad resistance is used as a scion for plugging in the smooth cut surface of the notch of the rootstock. Thereby the smooth cut surface of the rootstock can be closely fitted with the cut surface of the scion so that both cut surfaces can be combined rapidly without any hollow medullary cavity. Furthermore, it can efficiently avoid the situation that the adventitious roots of the scion grow out of the rootstock along the hollow medullary cavity and contact with soil. Accordingly, it can achieve a good grafting effect for a rootstock to be with the properties of good water resistance and soil disease resistance.本發明係有關於一種防止瓜類嫁接苗產生不定根的嫁接方法,係以抵抗力佳的瓜類為砧木,於砧木發芽並長出直立之下胚軸至第三片本葉完全展開期間,以夾持件將砧木下胚軸夾掣,使砧木下胚軸髓腔定型呈緊實狀,再將砧木沿縱向切出切口,以抵抗力差的瓜類枝芽為接穗,插接於砧木切口形成之平整切面間,藉此,利用砧木形成平整切面係可與接穗切面緊密貼合,使砧、穗切面快速癒合,同時無中空髓腔形成,更可有效防止接穗不定根沿砧木中空髓腔生長出砧木外與土壤接觸之現象,確實達到以耐水、抗土壤傳染病佳的砧木為根的嫁接效果者。
