PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a new component acknowledged to have mental sedation effect and to prepare a perfume composition for mental sedation containing the new component.
SOLUTION: It is found that terpinel butyrate, &gamma-nonalactone, acetyl isoeugenol, methyl anisate, terpineol, nerol, crysanthenone, lillal, lillial, &beta-phenylethyl alcohol, &gamma-methyl ionone, iso E Super, Z-3-hexenyl salicylate, p-methylphenyl acetaldehyde, limonene, ocimene, helional, linallyl acetate, geranyl acetate, geraniol, hedion, linalol, citronellol and &gamma-hexalactone are acknowledged to have mental sedation effect, thereby the perfume composition containing such components can be provided.
