PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer capable of stabilizing the movement of the heart, reducing the effect on blood circulation and enhancing the operability of an surgical operation.SOLUTION: The spacer 100 is used in operation in the field of cardiovascular surgery and includes a flat plate shaped spacer body 10 constituted of a porous material. A notch part 11 for holding the heart is formed to this spacer body 10. A part of the heart is held so as to be fitted or housed in the notch part 11 of the spacer 100.
