The automated external defibrillator (100) comprises: a master control unit (101), a memory (102), an output unit (103), an electrode plate (104), and a power supply (105); the electrode plate (104) is configured to acquire electrocardiogram data and send a defibrillation electric shock pulse; the master control unit (101) is configured to identify N types of preset rescue events during use of the automated external defibrillator (100), to separately collect statistics about each type of preset rescue event, to store a result obtained after collecting statistics about each type of preset rescue event by the master control unit in the memory (102), and to, after receiving an output instruction, trigger the output unit (103) to output a result obtained after collecting cumulative statistics about each type of preset rescue event by the master control unit (101) and stored in the memory (102).
