PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition suitable for little or no perfume cosmetics, by suppressing a smell of N-acyl hydroxy neutral amino acid or a salt thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided a cosmetic composition containing (A) N-acyl hydroxy neutral amino acid or a salt thereof, and (B) antioxidant. (A) is preferred to be N-(C8-22) acyl threonine or a salt thereof. (B) is preferred to be one or more kind selected from among dibutyl hydroxy toluene, butylhydroxyanisol, tocopherol, arbutin, ascorbic acid or a salt thereof, and a phosphoric acid type ascorbic acid derivative or a salt thereof. The cosmetic composition is preferred to be a detergent composition. (C) is preferred to be N-acyl acidic amino acid or a salt thereof.
