The present invention provides a portable handheld static-electricity generator and a method thereof for alleviating pain in at least one portion of patient's body, comprising: a movable brush, a polymer assembly comprising a rubbing-surface portion upon which the brush rubs and an automatically- operated mechanical unit. The polymer assembly having affinity to a defined charge such that when the movable brush rubs the rubbing-surface of the polymer assembly for a predefined time a static electricity is generated.La présente invention concerne un générateur d'électricité statique à main et portatif ainsi qu'un procédé afférent pour soulager la douleur dans au moins une partie du corps d'un patient, comprenant les éléments suivants : une brosse mobile, un ensemble polymère comportant une partie à surface de frottement sur laquelle la brosse frotte, et une unité mécanique à commande automatique. Ledit ensemble polymère présente une affinité avec une charge définie, de sorte que lorsque la brosse mobile frotte la surface de frottement de l'ensemble polymère pendant un temps prédéfini, une électricité statique est produite.
