Use of a nonwoven material comprising filaments of plastic, in particular of thermoplastic material as depot device or storage device for at least one active medium, in particular for at least one liquid active medium. The filaments are spun by means of a spinneret, wherein the plastic of the filaments is foamed so that pores are formed at least on the surface or in the surface region of the filaments, wherein at least a portion of the pores consists of pores which are open towards the outside and wherein the open pores are filled at least partially with the active medium in particular with the liquid active medium.
