PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for calculating an indication for deciding necessity of jaw bone surgery in orthodontic treatment and a program therefor, by which a dentist can easily calculate the indications for deciding necessity of jaw bone surgery which is an objective element for deciding whether the jaw bone surgery is necessary for a patient or not in orthodontic treatment, and which provide an easy and highly objective diagnosis for the dentist, with the use of another examination result.SOLUTION: Indications for deciding necessity of jaw bone surgery in orthodontic treatment, are calculated through the calculation of P=((S-Xi)+(Go-Xj))/(S-A), using a distance (S-A) between S and A, a distance (S-Xi) between S and Xi (wherein, i is an integer of 1 to 4, X1=B, X2=Pog, X3=Gn, X4=Me), and a distance (Go-Xj) between Go and Xj (wherein, j is an integer of 1 to 4, j-i or j≠i), the distances measured by the patient head X-ray photographing.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】患者の歯列矯正治療において歯科医師が患者の顎骨手術が必要であるか否かを判断するための客観的材料となる顎骨手術要否判断指標を簡単に計算することができ、他の検査方法の結果を適宜併用することで歯科医師がより客観性の高い正確な診断を容易にしかも短時間で行うことが可能になる、歯列矯正治療における顎骨手術要否判断指標の計算方法およびそのためのプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】患者の頭部X線撮影により計測された、SとAとの間の距離(S-A)、SとXi (iは1以上4以下の整数で、X1 =B、X2 =Pog、X3 =Gn、X4 =Me)との間の距離(S-Xi )およびGoとXj (jは1以上4以下の整数で、j=iまたはj≠i)との間の距離(Go-Xj )を用い、P=((S-Xi )+(Go-Xj ))/(S-A)を計算することにより、歯列矯正治療における顎骨手術要否判断指標を計算する。【選択図】図1
