<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device each for cultivating Chinese Yam free from the problem of wasted cultivation material, and requiring less labor for cultivation. ??<P>SOLUTION: The device for cultivating Chinese Yam is structured as follows: perpendicularly holding a pipe 1 whose lower end is buried in farmland 3 to be set up in a single line or a plurality of lines; charging cultivation soil 5 into the pipe 1 up to almost the upper end part thereof; planting a Chinese-yam seed potato 6 in the cultivation soil 5 to grow the seed potato while appropriately applying fertilizer and supplying water to the seed potato; making grown vines 11 creep around a support 8 set up to stand between the pipes 1 or near the pipes 1, or an inducing net 9 stretched between the supports 8; pulling out the pipes 1 from the farmland 3 when harvested; and pressurizing the one end of the pipe 1 under water flow pressure to take out the cultivation soil 5 and a grown-up Chinese yam 15 from the pipe 1. ??<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT ??
