The present invention relates to an apparatus which automatically and manually lifts a backbone to erect a backbone. The apparatus includes: a frame unit which is extended in the direction perpendicular to the ground and can be detachably joined with a chair a motor which is arranged on the frame and provides tensile strength to a pulling rope the pulling rope having one end, connected to the motor, and the other end, connected to a wearable part and the wearable part which is joined with one end of the pulling rope and is worn on an upper body of a patient in order to pull the upper body of the patient in the direction perpendicular to the ground. The apparatus lifts the upper body of the patient in the direction perpendicular to the ground with tensile strength, provided by the motor to the pulling rope in order to erect the backbone. According to the present invention, an action area, acting as a lifting point, is located on the weight center of a triangle having angular points of a first thoracic vertebrae and both shoulder blades. Therefore, when the apparatus lifts the action area, the backbone of the patient is erected and lifted vertically. Moreover, the apparatus provides a lifting degree efficient for disc treatment as the motor provides tensile strength based on the measured weight of the patient. In addition, the apparatus can be attached to and detached from a chair and is portable. The apparatus can conveniently lift a backbone in daily life because the height adjustment of the chair is not needed.
