To this end, the device to correct the geometry of medical image data includes: a correction angle extracting part extracting a correction angle in each sectional direction to correct a position of medical image data and a geometry correcting part performing geometry correction by rotating a medical image by using the correction angle in each sectional direction, extracted from the correction angle extracting part.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016본 발명은 의료 영상 데이터의 지오메트리 보정 장치 및 그 방법과 상기 방법을 실현시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체에 관한 것으로, 3차원 의료 영상 데이터를 이용하여 해당 영상이 3차원 공간상의 중심에 위치하도록 하여 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 시 환자의 부정확한 위치로 인하여 발생되는 오차를 보정하기 위한 의료 영상 데이터의 지오메트리 보정 장치 및 그 방법과 상기 방법을 실현시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 제공하고자 한다.이를 위하여, 본 발명은 의료 영상 데이터의 지오메트리 보정 장치에 있어서, 의료 영상 데이터의 위치 보정을 위해 각 단면 방향의 보정 각도를 추출하기 위한 보정 각도 추출부 및 상기 보정 각도 추출부에서 추출된 각 단면 방향의 보정 각도를 이용하여 의료 영상을 회전시켜 지오메트리 보정(Geometry Correction)을 수행하기 위한 지오메트리 보정부를 포함한다.
