PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument capable of suitably removing foreign matter in the body.SOLUTION: The medical instrument 20 includes a thrombus capturing instrument 21 and a storage catheter 22. The thrombus capturing instrument 21 comprises a core wire 24 and a brush portion 25 that is provided at the distal end of the core wire 24. The brush portion 25 for use in the capture of a thrombus in the body comprises a wire portion 27 and a plurality of bristle materials 28 that are radially provided on the wire portion 27. The storage catheter 22 has a storage tube portion 38 for housing the brush portion 25.
