PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining efficacy on a tested cancer patient who has been treated with chemo-radio therapy using cisplatin.SOLUTION: A method for determining efficacy on a tested cancer patient who has been treated with chemo-radio therapy using cisplatin, includes the steps of: (1) preparing an analytical curve which plots a post-two year prognostic score or a survival rate of two or more years of corresponding cancer patients with respect to an FGF13 expression level inside a cancerous cell, for a carcinoma tissue or a cancerous cell treated with the chemo-radiotherapy using cisplatin and originating from multiple cancer patients for whom the prognosis is known, and determining a position of a reference value for determining chemo-radiotherapy efficacy on the analytical curve (2) measuring the FGF13 genetic expression level in the cancerous cell or the carcinoma tissue originating from a tested cancer patient and (3) determining that treatment with the chemo-radiotherapy using cisplatin is effective for the tested cancer patient, in the case that the FGF13 genetic expression level inside the tested cancerous cell measured in the step (2) is applied on the analytical curve obtained in the step 1 and determined to be below the reference value for determining chemo-radiotherapy efficacy on the analytical curve.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】シスプラチンを用いて化学放射線治療を行った場合の被検癌患者における有効性を判定する方法を提供する。【解決手段】(1)シスプラチンを用いた化学放射線療法が施され、かつ予後が判明している複数の癌患者に由来する癌組織又は癌細胞に対して、癌細胞内のFGF13発現量に対する対応する癌患者の2年後予後スコアまたは2年以上生存率をプロットした検量線を用意し、検量線上での「化学放射線治療有効性判定基準値」の位置を決定する工程、(2)被検患者由来の癌細胞又は癌組織におけるFGF13遺伝子の発現量を測定する工程、(3)工程(2)で測定された被検癌細胞内のFGF13遺伝子の発現量を、工程(1)で得られた検量線にあてはめ、検量線上の「化学放射線治療有効性判定基準値」を下回っている場合に、被検癌患者に対してシスプラチンを用いた化学放射線治療を施すことが有効であると判定する工程。【選択図】なし
