The present invention provides an antiserum, a neutralizing antibody, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same. The antiserum of the present invention is prepared at least by the following steps: (A) providing a virus-cell mixture containing canine distemper virus (B) applying said virus-cell mixture to a pig and (C) obtain a serum from said pig to obtain said antiserum. Pigs are adopted as antiserum-producing animals in the present invention.
