FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biology and medicine, in particular to neurophysiological methods for correction of brain disorders using optical systems, and can be used in neurology, psychiatry, speech therapy and defectology. Prior to selecting the lenses, the patient is registered with a background level of the permanent cerebral potential (LPP) in the frontal, central, occipital, right and left temporal regions. Lenses are selected by carrying a patient with a holder with successively fixed pairs of test lenses with continuous registration of the cerebral LPP in the frontal, central, occipital, right and left temporal regions for each analyzed pair of lenses for a time until achieving stable values of constant potentials with a drift more than 2 mV for 10 minutes. Result of the level of LPP is recorded at the last minute of measurements. Rest is performed after checking each pair of lenses. Arithmetic mean value is determined for the background LPP for all 5 detection regions (Xav background, mV) and the arithmetic mean value for the LPP after the holder with each pair of lenses is worn on all 5 detection regions (Xav sample, mV). Further, the percentage of change of average LPP (K, %) is calculated using the claimed formula. If the value of K is at least in one detection region of 30 % and more, and the LPP is detected in one or more detection regions within 7 to 15 mV, the lenses are considered to be finally selected and recommended for wearing during the patient's wake. Periodically, control measurements of LPP – in a week, half a year and year after wearing of lenses, with implementation of additional corrective selection of lenses.EFFECT: method enables providing more effective correction of cerebral metabolic activity disorders in various states – dyslexia, dysgraphia, visual agnosia, scotopic sensitivity syndrome, autism, mental retardation and other disorders caused by cerebral dysfunctions, due to objective assessment of cerebral neurro
