The present invention discloses a system and method for grading agricultural commodity, said system comprising: a moisture sensor for providing the moisture content of the agricultural commodity, a grain apparatus, a conveyor belt driven by a motor, a camera to capture plurality of images of the agricultural commodity uniformly distributed on the conveyor belt, a communication device for transmitting information to a processor, which further processes the images by using image processing technique to ascertain the quality parameters of the agricultural commodity and compares it with the standards used for grading the agricultural commodity and, a user interface for displaying the information of grading and a printer to print the grading assessment.La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de tri d'une marchandise agricole, ledit système comprenant : un capteur d'humidité permettant de fournir la teneur en humidité de la marchandise agricole, un appareil à grain, une courroie transporteuse entraînée par un moteur, une caméra permettant de capturer une pluralité d'images de la marchandise agricole uniformément distribuée sur la courroie transporteuse, un dispositif de communication permettant de transmettre des informations à un processeur, qui traite en outre les images au moyen d'une technique de traitement d'image afin de déterminer les paramètres de qualité de la marchandise agricole et de la comparer aux normes utilisées pour trier la marchandise agricole et, une interface utilisateur permettant d'afficher les informations de tri et une imprimante permettant d'imprimer l'évaluation de tri.
