The portable insulated carrier includes: a container having a front, a back, an open top, and defining an interior cavity a closure for covering the open top of the container at least one syringe holder in the interior cavity of the container, which is configured to receive and retain the syringe in an upright position and an insulating member positioned in the insulating pocket, the insulating member being configured to prevent body heat of a user from being transferred to the syringe in the at least one syringe holder. The carrier is configured to maintain the syringe at a temperature of below 25 degrees Celsius for at least one hour.
