The tablet dispenser of the pharmaceutical packaging apparatus includes a stationary frame, a dispensing tray, a shutter, a conveyor, storage containers, a position sensing section, and a control section. The stationary frame is fixed to the inside of the pharmaceutical packaging apparatus. The dispensing tray is supported to be linearly moved horizontally from the state where it is inserted into the fixed frame and is drawn out of the pharmaceutical packaging apparatus, and the tablet dispensing holes for receiving the dispensed tablets are horizontally arranged in at least one row. The shutters open and close the tablet dispensing holes on the underside of the dispensing tray. The conveyor has a belt which travels in an endless track, with the upstream side facing the tablet dispensing holes in the column direction with the distribution tray inserted in the stationary frame. The storage vessels are fixedly transported on the outer surface of the belt in a state arranged at the same pitch as the row pitch of the tablet distribution holes, and are supplied with tablets discharged from the tablet distribution holes. The position sensing unit senses the position of the storage containers.
