PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument which can carry out ligation within a living body safely and efficiently even only by an operator or by an operator and an assistant.SOLUTION: The medical instrument comprises a suture inserting puncture needle 20, a suture holding puncture needle 30, a stylet 40 inserted slidably within the suture holding puncture needle 30, and a fixing member 50 on which the suture inserting puncture needle 20 and the suture holding puncture needle 30 are fixed. When an annular member 42 formed on the distal end of the stylet 40 is projected from the distal end of the suture holding puncture needle 30, the central axis of the suture inserting puncture needle 20 or its extension extends through the inside of the annular member 42. A sending mechanism 60 for sending a suture S successively in the distal direction is arranged on the proximal end side of the suture inserting puncture needle 20.
