An ocean culture system and method is provided using a semi-submersible platform with vertical struts having storage and maintenance facilities to support aquaculture. The system includes a culture tank rigid assembly having a vertical cavity configured to receive a corresponding vertical strut of a semi-submersible platform. The rigid assembly includes: (i) an elevated position in which the rigid assembly surrounds a corresponding vertical post in the vertical cavity to limit horizontal movement of the rigid assembly； and (ii) a vertical post to which the rigid assembly corresponds. In the operating position in the lowered position located below the submersible platform, it is mechanically connected to the semi-submersible platform.
