PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus which can always display an image including a catheter tip in a state in which an operator can easily check the image even if catheter travel speed varies.SOLUTION: An X-ray imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging part 10 which has an X-ray source and an X-ray detector, and acquires a fluoroscopic image of a subject by continuously emitting X-rays from the X-ray source a display part 30 which displays the fluoroscopic image acquired by the imaging part 10 a control part 40 which controls the imaging part and the display part a speed detection part 32 which detects the travel speed of an object, for example a catheter, traveling in the subject by using the fluoroscopic image acquired by the imaging part 10 and an image processing part 20 which controls the display of the image on the display part 30 in accordance with the travel speed of the object detected by the speed detection part 32.
