PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which allows power storage at a power supply part in probe at the time of inspection of a subject.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 100 according to an embodiment comprises an oscillator 2, and a power generation layer 4. The oscillator 2 transmits/receives ultrasound. The power generation layer 4 generates power by receiving the ultrasound radiated backwards from the oscillator 2. Particularly, the power generation layer 4 is provided between the oscillator 2, and a backing member 7 that absorbs the ultrasound radiated backwards from the oscillator 2.
