Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for treating tinnitus. The method for treating tinnitus includes the steps of: detecting, by a tinnitus treatment apparatus, a tinnitus frequency of each of left and right ears of a user； decoding, by the tinnitus treatment apparatus, a music file and converting the decoded music file into a music signal in a frequency domain based on an FFT scheme； removing, by the tinnitus treatment apparatus, a first low level music signal in a tinnitus treatment removal target band which is determined based on at least one of the tinnitus frequencies of the left and right ears among the music signals in the frequency domain； amplifying, by the tinnitus treatment apparatus, a second low level music signal in a tinnitus treatment amplification target band which is determined based on at least one of the tinnitus frequencies of the left and right ears among the music signals in the frequency domain； and generating, by the tinnitus treatment apparatus, a music file for treating tinnitus by performing IFFT and encoding the music signal from which the first low level music signal is removed and of which the second low level music signal is amplified.이명 치료 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 이명 치료 방법은 이명 치료 장치가 사용자의 좌측 귀 및 우측 귀 각각에 대한 이명 주파수를 탐색하는 단계, 이명 치료 장치가 음악 파일을 디코딩하고 상기 디코딩된 음악 파일을 FFT를 기반으로 주파수 도메인 상의 음악 신호로 변환하는 단계, 이명 치료 장치가 주파수 도메인 상의 음악 신호 중 좌측 귀 및 우측 귀 중 적어도 하나에 대한 이명 주파수를 기반으로 결정된 이명 치료 제거 대역 상의 제1 하위 음악 신호를 제거하는 단계, 이명 치료 장치가 주파수 도메인 상의 음악 신호 중 좌측 귀 및 우측 귀 중 적어도 하나에 대한 이명 주파수를 기반으로 결정된 이명 치료 증폭 대역 상의 제2 하위 음악 신호를 증폭하는 단계와 이명 치료 장치가 제1 하위 음악 신호의 제거 및 제2 하위 음악 신호의 증폭 처리를 수행한 상기 음악 신호를 IFFT하고 인코딩하여 이명 치료용 음악 파일을 생성하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
