PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hallway light which can easily respond to a situation in which a room number is changed or an attachment place of the hallway light is changed to another place to be used for another room, without leaving a trace in a room number display unit, and also which has an excellent appearance.SOLUTION: A room number display unit 5 includes: a plate on which a room number is described； a plate storage unit 11b provided on a front surface of a front case 2 and for storing the plate； and a transparent synthetic resin cover 12 attached to the front surface of the front case 2 so as to cover the front of the plate. A cover storage unit 11a capable of storing the cover 12 in a state where the front surface of the cover 12 and the front surface of the front case 2 are flushed is provided on the front surface of the front case 2. The cover 12 is provided with a fixing piece 22 to fix the cover to the front surface of the front case 2.
