PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the greening of a building construction having low maintenance load and excellent effect for improving hot environment and preventing urbantype flooding and provide a planting ground structure. SOLUTION: The greening of a building construction is carried out by placing soil 3 on the building construction 1 and plating a plant 6 of the genus Zoysia on the soil 3. The planting ground structure is produced by forming a soil- holding frame 2 on the building construction 1 and filling a soil 3 having a total effective water content of >=200 L/m3 and a scarcely effective water content of >=100 L/m3 in the frame. The depth D1 of the soil 3 is 15-30 cm and a draining hole 4 is opened at a depth D2 of 5-10 cm from the surface of the soil 3.
